Police are seeking two suspects following a pair of break-ins at businesses on Lansdowne Street West in Peterborough, Ont., on Friday.
According to the Peterborough Police Service, in one incident around 4 a.m., a security system showed a masked man and a woman attempting to enter a store. However, they left in a black sedan.
Then around 5:30 a.m., a second business reported that an employee had arrived at work and discovered a safe containing a “significant amount” of money had been stolen. Police say security system footage shows a masked man and a woman in the store leaving with the safe.
Police believe the same suspects are involved in both incidents.
One suspect is a man with an average-sized build who was wearing grey pants, a grey sweater, brown shoes and a black mask.
The woman was wearing a grey sweater, a black mask, black pants, and white and black shoes.
